Jonah D Martin: My Story….

 Essay is on my Life as a Creative Writer, artist, and Song-writer and Inventor. Unfulfilled Dreams Theses:
 My stance on this essay is that God did not give me such a creative mind for me to simply find a way to use it to line my pockets, and to become very rich.

     To elaborate on my introduction to class, in regard to how my creativity was finally realized. Was the fact that one of Gods most dominate qualities?  In view of this fact, he is the creator of everything. Think about that for a moment. All the five senses that we have to sense and detect the things around us, is because of him. Thinking about all the different things that exists and the wide varieties of creatures, can just blow one’s mind.
       From the most microscopic organism to the vast starry universe, there is evidence of an awesome intelligent designer. Many times when I get an idea about a new invention, I also detect that Jehovah’s spirit is active upon me in a strong way. Sometimes I was not even trying to think of something to invent, just the circumstances of the moment. Thus the phrase; “The mother of invention is necessity “, or something like that.  Some of the ideas I have submitted are as follows.
 Note: I can only give a vague description of them because of confidentiality agreement reasons with Invention Company.
 1. Next generation bread machine.
2. A smarter ink pen.
            3. A shopping cart for the handicap, just to name a few.
            4. I have had one of my poems published as a song            5. One book of poetry published at the Library of Congress in 1998.
      Much of my adult life has been interrupted by flashes of light of new ideas. Some I have been able to submit for a patent search, but some lay dormant in my psyche, not knowing what to do with them nor the power to do anything with them.   It started during my child hood, watching one of my favorite shows, the “Walt Disney.”
          I believe Walt Disney was still alive at that time. Many of the stories he told have been an inspiration to me, then and on until now.  There seems to be no end to the ideas of categories.  From medical fixation devices to early warning security gadgets, my imagination runs away with me some times.   Maybe one day, I will get to realize one of my inventions, but as far as I can see, God has a much grander purpose for the gift he has given me.
 My essay is to establish the position that my unsatisfied goals of being successful as I would have wanted to be is not because of not being good enough, but it was not the wright time for it.  I in my essay I will explore 5 main points as follows; 1.      Everything happens for a reason.Although, all things have their purpose, one cannot be certain what that can be.  Knowing what our Creator had in mind is far beyond our imagination.  And in most cases, takes a life-time to understand. 2.      Our gifts is not necessarily for our benefit only.
 As our life progress, and we become more mature, things start to take their shape, and, if one is fortunate, our purpose is realized, we begin a journey towards Gods intended goal for us. 3.      Enriching oneself with a God given talent is a shallow goal.There is a statement in Numbers, a bible book, that Jehovah has the power to make ones rich, however many times ones a gifted for other reasons.  Take God’s Son, Jesus for example:  He could have enriched himself a great deal if he wanted to.  He chose to do enough to save all that willed to be saved. What did God promise us all? 4.      Food clothing and shelter is all we really need.We all can expect to get the basics of life.  Riches and glory are for nobles, or the ill-advised.  Money, power, and influence of others, can be corrupting.  God knows how much each of us can bear. 5.      God knows that some people cannot handle abundant riches.The truth if the matter is that some cannot handle being rich or even a little wind-fall.  A popular song, written by the OJay’s, said it all in no uncertain terms, to quote; “Don’t let money change you”.    In summary of all of this, one must conclude that just because we are gifted in certain areas,
1.      My Creative Writing.  I blog regularly2.      My music.  It keeps me sane.3.      My inventions. I use it around the house to solve different problems.In retrospect, we should not look forward to being rich because of special gift.  History dictates that for every star in the lime-lite, there are hundreds or even more that we never learn about, unless they are from our own home town.  Even the ones that make it sometimes, die alone and broke.  God gives us all enough to survive.     Work Cited:Song lyrics by the OJay’s”Bible book of NumbersNew World Translation.
